Peter Andersen has extensive experience in senior management positions in the financial sector. He has served as Senior Manager and CEO at institutions such as Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of New York, and Barclays Bank.
He started in the corporate banking division at Citibank Brazil and eventually held the position of Managing Director at Citicorp Investment Bank in São Paulo. At Chase Manhattan, he led the Treasury, Foreign Exchange, and Capital Markets businesses for Latin America for two years before being appointed CEO of Brazil.
After joining Bando Credibanco, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York in Brazil, he led its sale to Unibanco. Later, as president of Barclays Bank, he also oversaw the transformation process that resulted in the relaunch of the institution as an investment bank.
In 2007, he founded ARC, an executive search consulting firm, and in May 2019, he joined Ackermann as a Council Member and Senior Consultant.
He has served as a board member for national and multinational companies.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo and has completed his training in international business and management at Harvard University.
