Our Story
Ackermann was founded in 2009 by a group of professionals with extensive experience in the Executive Search sector and Human Resources consulting. After a long career in various multinational companies in the industry, they decided to establish their own business project. They share a vision: to meet the talent needs of companies by combining technical rigor with a personalized and approachable approach, to create a positive and lasting impact on the organizations they work with.
We began operating from our offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
It was a time of economic crisis, and many companies bet on international presence as a survival factor. At Ackermann, we decided to accompany them on this journey, focusing on Latin America— the first strategic stop in the internationalization process of Spanish companies. This region, with its diversity, was also managing to escape the worst effects of the crisis.
We opened our own offices in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Peru.
Our goal was to be present in the key markets of our clients, allowing us to provide services with the closeness and rigor that define our corporate DNA.
International Alliance with The Beaumont Group
The desire to become a leading international firm is at the core of Ackermann’s genesis. That is why we also established an international alliance with The Beaumont Group to build a global network and respond to the growing demand for Executive Search services worldwide.
We opened offices in Miami and entered the capital of SpenglerFox
In 2017, after consolidating our presence in Latin America, Ackermann decided to enter the USA market and opened an office in Miami. To further enhance our international reach, we formalized our entry into the capital of SpenglerFox, an international Executive Search firm with a strong position in Europe and Asia. This operation allowed us to increase our network of offices and consolidate a service offering based on global practices.
In parallel to this international growth, throughout our history, we have focused on diversifying our areas of activity, progressively adding new selection and Human Resources consulting services to our executive search business, evolving into a global group specialized in talent.
Currently, through our own offices and international alliances, we have a network of nearly 40 offices and over 200 consultants across four continents. We are the headhunter with the most presence in Latin America, where we are located in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador.
In 2017, after consolidating our presence in Latin America, we decided to enter the U.S. market and opened Ackermann’s office in Miami. To further boost our international reach, we formalized our entry into the capital of SpenglerFox in 2018, an international Executive Search firm with a strong position in Central and Eastern Europe, emerging markets, and Asia. This operation allowed us to expand our network of owned offices and solidify a service offering based on global practices.
Since 2020, our growth has remained unstoppable, both geographically, with the opening of new offices in countries like Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Portugal in 2024, and in terms of our services, expanding our offerings to include Board Advisory and Skills Training and Development (Ackermann Labs).
In 2024, we celebrated our 15th anniversary, having become a global talent group. Today, through our own offices and international investments/partnerships, we have a network of nearly 40 offices and over 200 consultants across 4 continents. We are the headhunter with the largest presence in Latin America, with offices in Mexico, Colombia (Medellín and Bogotá), Brazil (São Paulo and Rio), Chile, Peru, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Ecuador.
